Abstract
Violent and aggressive behaviours have. become common in a large varie
ty of sport, The antecedents and consequences of such behaviours are o
utlined in the position statement issued by the International Society
of Sport psychology (ISSP), The ISSP recommends several actions be tak
en to minimize such acts in sport and encourages education of young at
hletes in line with fair-play ethics.
