The purpose of this study is to describe and evaluate the success rate of c
ombined glaucoma and smalt cataract surgery by means of a one-site versus t
wo-site approach. Fifty-eight eyes of fifty-five patients undergoing combin
ed surgery were operated: thirty-one eyes underwent two-site approach and t
wenty-seven eyes underwent one-sire approach. Short term and long term mean
intraocular pressure (IOP) was similar in both groups. There was no signif
icant difference in, postoperative inflammation and complication rates betw
een two groups. There is no significant difference in the postoperative res
ults in those two different approaches to perform combined operations of ca
taract and glaucoma.
