Abstract
A case of unilateral anomalous arterial supply of the lower limb and the an terior abdominal wall is presented. In this case, inferior epigastric arter y arose from a common trunk with the medial circumflex femoral artery. The common trunk arose from the femoral artery. The inferior epigastric artery reached the anterior abdominal wall by passing deep to the inguinal ligamen t. The medial circumflex artery ran between the femoral artery and vein wit hin the femoral triangle. A possible ontogenetic explanation is provided fo r this situation. Awareness of the variations in anatomy of the inferior ep igastric and femoral arteries is important for angiographers and the surgeo n who operates in this region.
