R. Caminiti et al., ENERGY-DISPERSIVE X-RAY-DIFFRACTION APPLIED TO ISOTHERMAL CRYSTALLIZATION OF THE AMORPHOUS ALLOY NI60B40, Gazzetta chimica italiana, 127(1), 1997, pp. 59-62
The isothermal crystallization of Ni60B40 amorphous alloy to fcc-Ni ha
s been studied by energy dispersive X-ray diffraction. Using an X-ray
energy scanning non-commercial diffractometer, a temporal resolution o
f a few hundred seconds has been reached. The results are interpreted
in terms of a primary crystallization process of fcc-Ni. The evolution
of the diffraction spectra, studied in terms of the Johnson-Mehl-Avra
mi theory, confirmed such result.
