Abstract
The closure of the set of isoperimetric exponents for finitely presented gr oups is {1} boolean OR [2, infinity). For each pair of positive integers p greater than or equal to q, one can construct groups with aspherical presen tations for which the Dehn function is similar or equal to n(2 alpha), wher e alpha = log(2)(2p/q).
