Electron spin resonance investigations on the thermal degradation in a
ir of stabilized and crude polyepichlorohydrins are reported. The temp
erature dependence of resonance line parameters, in the temperature ra
nge 250-500 degrees C, has been investigated. The activation energy ha
s been estimated for the total free-radical generation processes. lit
situ experiments on crude and stabilized polyepichlorohydrins are repo
rted. For the sample stabilized with amines the appearance of nitroxid
e-like free radicals has been noticed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Limit
