Jc. Liao et Sn. Yeh, A novel instantaneous power control strategy and analytic model for integrated rectifier/inverter systems, IEEE POW E, 15(6), 2000, pp. 996-1006
This paper is concerned with the design and implementation of an integrated
pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier/inverter for three-phase induction
motor drives. Two identical PWM converters are used to serve as power regul
ator with unity power factor and servo motor drive using field-oriented con
trol, respectively. A new input-output instantaneous power balancing approa
ch is proposed to improve the dynamic response of input power regulation du
ring output load change in order to minimize the de-link capacitance. By us
ing the synchronous rotating-frame current regulators, both the input and o
utput currents of the integrated system are characterized with fast current
response and low harmonic distortion. The effects of the dynamic response
using different input power control methods are compared and the systematic
design and analysis of the proposed method are also presented, Theoretical
results of the analysis are verified experimentally.
