Abstract
Kinetoplast DNA from Trypanosoma evansi isolates of bubaline, equine and ca meline origin were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using 4 arb itrarily selected 10 to 11 base primers. Depending upon the T. evansi isola te-primer combination, between 3 to 8 reproducible DNA fingerprints of 300 to 1630 bp were amplified revealing a limited DNA polymorphism.
