G. Anastopoulos et al., Preliminary evaluation of esters of monocarboxylic fatty acid on the lubrication properties of diesel fuel, IND ENG RES, 40(1), 2001, pp. 452-456
This paper assesses the impact of esters of monocarboxylic fatty acids, on
the lubrication properties of ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuels. Seven esters w
ere used as lubricating additives on a matrix of eight fuels, at five diffe
rent concentrations of 50, 100, 500, 750, and 1000 ppm. Tribological experi
ments carried out on the high-frequency reciprocating test rig (HFRR) showe
d that the effective concentration of the additives was 500 ppm or higher.
