Abstract
Pyrolysis pattern of polybutadienes (PB) with different microstructures wer e characterized using pyrolysis-gas chromatography (pyrolysis-GC). PBs with different content ratios of the cis-1,4-, trans-1,4-, and 1,2-units were u sed. Major pyrolysis products were found to be C4H6 (butadiene), C5H8 (cycl opentene), C6H10 (cyclohexene), C7H10 (1,4-cycloheptadiene), and C8H12 (4-v inylcyclohexene). The butadiene and 4-vinylcyclohexene were produced from a ll the three components, while the 1,4-cycloheptadiene was formed from the 1,2-sequence. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
