Oxygen ejection of the title tetraanthraporphyrazine containing four epidio
xy bridges has been investigated in solution and PMMA matrix using fs- and
ns-excitation conditions. The photocycloreversion produces mixed anthra-ben
zo-porphyrazines with different numbers of epidioxy bridges. This photoreac
tion is an example for a two-photon process via upper excited states. All p
hotoproducts can be reverted into the title tetraepidioxyporphyrazine by re
action with singlet oxygen.
