Abstract
Irradiation of cyclohexenones 1 in the presence of 2 in benzene affords nap hthalenones 3 in a-formally - stepwise [4+2]-cycloaddition. In methanol a m ixture of the diastereomeric ethers 5 and 6 is obtained.
