Abstract
Prescriptions for manganese dioxide activated conducting polymeric composit es have been elaborated. The investigated composites were made from a polye thylene/vinyl acetate base (Elvax 450 from DuPont) and highly conducting ca rbon black. The composite material was admired with manganese dioxide activ ated graphite. Gravimetric, galvanostatic, potentiodynamic and impedance in vestigations have been carried out of composite polymeric electrodes. It ha s been shown that the presence of manganese dioxide in the composite improv es the potential stability and decreases the oxygen evolution process resis tance. An addition of manganese dioxide decreases the anodic consumption of the polymeric composite. The relation of the current density function of t he content of manganese dioxide modified graphite has been determined.
