Abstract
We report a case of onychomycosis with melanonychia due to Candida parapsil osis alone. Candida parapsilosis is now identified in the great majority of candidal onychomycosis, mainly in association with other yeasts. The crite ria allowing the distinction between invasion and colonization, the risk fa ctors and the treatment of C. parapsilosis onychomycosis are discussed.
