Abstract
Researchers will be able to gain access to the complete zebrafish genome se quence within less than two years, accelerating gene identification of exis ting mutants and opening up new possibilities for genome-wide reverse genet ics tools. Here, we discuss the context and promise of the zebrafish genome project.
