Abstract
A new type of programmable waveform generator dedicated to experiments with monochromatic, circularly polarized Mossbauer gamma -radiation is presente d. The system consists of an unpolarized, monochromatic source which is mov ed by a standard system in constant acceleration mode. A second, separate t ransducer, collaborating with a programmable generator, is moving a polariz er with constant Doppler velocity shift with respect to the source. Details concerning the shape of signals used in the waveform generator are discuss ed and it is shown that commercially available transducers can be used to a chieve the goal.
