We consider a bound state problem for a family of supersymmetric gauge theo
ries with fundamental matter. These theories can be obtained by a dimension
al reduction from three dimension to 1 + 1 of supersymmetric QCD and subseq
uent truncation of some of the fields. We find that the models without adjo
int scalar converge to well-defined continuum limits. We also find the crit
ical value of coupling at which an additional massless state is observed. B
y contrast, the models containing adjoint scalars, seem to have a continuou
s mass spectrum in the limit of infinite volume.
