J. Klima et al., FTIR SPECTRO-PHOTOELECTROCHEMICAL CELL WITH ADJUSTABLE SOLUTION LAYERTHICKNESS - PHOTOCURRENT TRANSIENTS AT PHOTOEXCITED TIO2 POLYCRYSTALLINE ELECTRODES, Journal of electroanalytical chemistry [1992], 427(1-2), 1997, pp. 57-61
Chronoamperometric curves under photoexcitation were measured at a pol
ycrystalline TiO2 electrode in iodide-containing solutions using an FT
IR spectro-photoelectrochemical cell with a solution layer thickness a
djustable from ten, up to about 10 mm with an accuracy of +/-10 mu m.
The shape of the curves is controlled by changes in the effective exci
ting light intensity due to light absorption in solution by generated
intermediates and products. The influence of initial electrolyte conce
ntration and solution layer thickness on the shape of the I-t curves i
s explained. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
