Abstract
Ion-molecular reactions of free ethylsilicenium ions with methanol and isob utanol in the gas phase were studied radiochemically. Within the reaction t ime the ethylsilicenium ion completely isomerizes into the dimethylsiliceni um ion. The reaction mechanism was suggested.
