Abstract
Stereochemistry of F-, Cl-, Br-, and I-containing arsenic compounds was stu died using the Voronoi-Dirichlet polyhedra. The stereochemical effect of th e lone pair of electrons of As(III) atoms deteriorates with a decrease in t he electronegativity of their neighboring atoms along the series AsFn-AsCln -AsBrn-AsIn. The intersecting spheres method was shown to be suitable for t he determination of arsenic coordination numbers in crystal structures.
