A 36-year-old preeclamptic woman presented with bilateral visual loss upon
recovery from anesthesia following cesarean section. Visual acuity was hand
motion OU. Pupillary responses to light were normal, without a relative af
ferent pupillary defect. Treatment consisted of control of blood pressure a
nd the patient's vision improved to 20/25 OU within 3 days. (Surv Ophthalmo
