Temperature and concentration dependences of the electron work function in
cesium-potassium alloys were studied by the Fowler photoelectric method for
the first time. Our results indicate that the limiting electron activity o
f cesium in potassium-cesium alloys is six times larger than that obtained
by extrapolating the work function isotherm to pure potassium. (C) 2001 MAI
