Detailed high frequency seismoprofiling was performed in the axis zone
of the Danube cone during an international expedition on board of R/V
''Gelendzhik'' in 1993. Five hurried accumulative swells (suprafans)
were distinguished in some seismoprofiles crossing the central part of
the cone. They overlay each other in a strict succession with a stron
g angle of disconfirmity. They were formed during five cycles of sedim
entation corresponding to the last five regression-transgression cycle
s beginning from Mindel regression. The main part of sedimentary bodie
s were accumaled during Mindel, Lower and Upper Riss, as well as Lower
and Upper Wurm regressions. The studied section of Danube cone was fo
rmed approximately during recent 0.5 my.
