Methodology for an implementation of the STEP standard: a Java prototype

The ISO standard STEP (standard for the exchange of product model data) pro vides a complete representation of a product, along with a description lang uage, EXPRESS, and methods for the exchange of these product data. This pap er presents the methodology that was adopted for creating a prototype of an electromagnetism-dedicate database manager, meant to support STEP complian t data exchange.
