Abstract
A highly enhanced initial susceptibility is predicted theoretically for thi n, amorphous ferromagnetic films when they are patterned as separate disks of appropriate dimensions. The relation between the required disk radius an d the film thickness is given as a function of the exchange constant and th e saturation magnetization of the amorphous material.
