Abstract
Checking purity and quality of spices, the occurrence of impurities and fal sifications is not frequent in the last years in Germany. But that is not v alid for other non european countries. Especially the very expensive saffro n (Crocus sativus L.) is adulterated with safflower (Cartamus tinctorius L. ).
