G. Moortgat-pick et al., Impact of e(+) and e(-) beam polarization on chargino and neutralino production at a linear collider, EUR PHY J C, 18(2), 2000, pp. 379-391
We study the production processes e(+)e(-) --> <(<chi>)over tilde>(+)(i)<(<
chi>)over tilde>(-)(j); i, j = 1, 2, and e(+)e(-) --> <(<chi>)over tilde>(0
)(m)<(<chi>)over tilde>(0)(n),m, n = 1,...,4, working out the advantages of
polarizing both beams. For e(+)e(-) --> <(<chi>)over tilde>(+)(1)<(<chi>)o
ver tilde>(-)(1) with <(<chi>)over tilde>(-)(1) --> <(<chi>)over tilde>(0)(
1)e(-)<(<nu>)over bar> and e(+)e(-) --> <(<chi>)over tilde>(0)(1)<(<chi>)ov
er tilde>(0)(2) with <(<chi>)over tilde>(0)(2) --> <(<chi>)over tilde>(0)(1
)e(+)e(-) we perform a detailed analysis, including the complete spin corre
lations between production and decay. We analyze the forward-backward asymm
etry of the decay electron for various beam polarizations. We also study po
larization asymmetries in e(+)e(-) --> <(<chi>)over tilde>(0)(1)<(<chi>)ove
r tilde>(0)(2). These asymmetries strongly constrain the gaugino parameter
M-1 and the masses m((e) over tildeL), m((e) over tildeR), m(<(<nu>)over ti
lde>) also if m((e) over tilde,<(<nu>)over tilde>) greater than or equal to
s(1/2)/2. We give numerical predictions for three scenarios for a linear c
ollider with s(1/2) = 500-1000 GeV.
