Genomic exploration of the hemiascomycetous yeasts: 2. Data generation andprocessing

The generation of sequencing data for the hemiascomycetous yeast random seq uence tag project was performed using the procedures established at GENOSCO PE, These procedures include a series of protocols for the sequencing react ions, using infra-red labelled primers, performed on both ends of the plasm id inserts in the same reaction tube, and their analysis on automated DNA s equencers. They also include a package of computer programs aimed at detect ing potential assignation errors, selecting good quality sequences and esti mating their useful length.
