Abstract
68 000 magnetic field measurements from a database are used to map magnetic field lines in the Earth's magnetosphere at distances 10R(E) > x > -40R(E) . The field of the magnetospheric currents has been averaged over cubic cel ls with linear sizes of 2R(E). The total field was equal to the sum of the fields of the magnetospheric currents and the geomagnetic dipole. The magne tic field lines have been plotted for different levels of geomagnetic activ ity and solar-wind intensity.
