Abstract
An outbreak of invasive aspergillosis occurred in a community hospital in t
emporal association with construction activity. Epidemiological investigati
on showed that patients who are at highest risk comprise a small group and
are readily identifiable. Clinicians should strive to protect these patient
s, following guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control and Pr
evention (Infect Control Hosp Epidemiol 2001;22:45-48).
