Abstract
A five co-ordinate platinum(II) complex containing the water soluble 1,3,5- triaza-7-phosphaadamantane ligand (PTA) [Pt(PTA)(3)(I)(2)] (1), was charact erised in the solid state and aqueous solution. A re-calculation of the Tol man cone angle for the PTA ligand, as well as preliminary equilibrium const ants for the formation of 1, is given. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Scien ce B.V.
