Abstract
The recently developed European flaw assessment procedure SINTAP is applied to a total of 97 full-scale pipe tests with through-wall and surface crack s subjected to internal pressure and four point bending. Based on the exper imental data various analysis levels of SINTAP are discussed with respect t o their potential for predicting the failure loads and the margins of conse rvatism.
