Abstract
The influence of glucose and yeast on both the extraction equilibria and ki netic parameters of ethanol extraction form aqueous solutions by using 30% weight toluene solutions of TBP was determined in a series of experiments. Glucose and yeast were found to influence negatively the extractant selecti vity and extraction kinetics in a reciprocating plate column.
