Abstract
The essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation from the leaves of rose-sce nted geranium (Pelargonium sp.) grown in Cuba was analyzed by GC/MS. Fifty- four compounds were identified which constituted 95.5% of the oil. The majo r constituents were citronellol (25.6%), alpha -guaiene (7.2%) and caryophy llene oxide (14.7%).
