Abstract
In a previous paper by the author (Math. Comput. Modelling 32 (2000), 507-5 27, Linear Hamiltonian systems on time scales. Positivity of quadratic func tionals) a unified theory for continuous (T = W) and discrete (T = Z) linea r Hamiltonian systems on an arbitrary time scale T is developed, In particu lar, it is stated that disconjugacy of the Hamiltonian system is a sufficie nt condition for positivity of the corresponding (homogeneous) quadratic fu nctional. In this paper we present a similar condition for quadratic functi onals on time scales with general (inhomogeneous) boundary conditions, (C) 2000 Academic Press.
