Abstract
A distributed parameter model describing spatially-dependent hepatic proces sing of the chemical compound 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD or dioxin) has previously been reported [1]. The mathematical system consists of coupled nonlinear partial and ordinary differential equations with delay s. In this paper, we investigate the qualitative behavior of the system ove r a six-hour time period following a subcutaneous injection. A brief summar y of the model is also given.
