Abstract
C-27-C-29 14 beta,22R-epithiosteranes 1 were isolated from a Miocene s ediment and their structures by 1D and 2D NMR. This novel series of se dimentary steroids presumably results from intramolecular incorporatio n of sulfur on steradiene precursors of algal origin. (C) 1997 Elsevie r Science Ltd.
