Abstract
Glasses of the system xFe(2)O(3). (1-x)[Bi2O3. PbO . As2O3] in the composit ion range 0.5 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 30 mol% were in vestigated when prepared at 1000 degreesC and 1250 degreesC, respectively. The study was performed by means of EPR of Fe3+ ions. The effects of meltin g temperature on the valence state and structural distribution of iron ions were shown.
