Abstract
In a previous paper, we collected data on the reliability of saccades. In t he same set of experiments, we wanted to know whether we could distinguish a systematic difference in latency time and number of wrong saccades betwee n stimuli to the right and those to the left. In this paper, we show that t here is no difference in mean latency time between stimuli to the right and those to the left. With regard to the number of reflexive errors, however, there is a trend towards an absence of a difference. We do not need to con sider differences between left and right when examining the saccades of nor mal young persons.
