Double-differential cross sections of the B-10,B-11(n,p)Be-10,Be-11 reactio
ns have been measured at 96 MeV in the angular range 0 degrees -30 degrees
for excitation energies up to 35 MeV. The spectra have been decomposed into
different multipolarities using sample angular distributions calculated wi
thin the distorted-wave Born approximation. From the identified Gamow-Telle
r strength, Sbeta+ values were obtained for B-10 and B-11, At higher excita
tion energies, the spectra are dominated by L = 1 strength in broad distrib
utions with maxima around 22 and 12 MeV in B-10 and B-11, respectively. (C)
