Abstract
Melanotrichus boydi, NEW SPECIES is described from the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. The nickel hyperaccumulating sp ecies, Streptanthus polygaloides (Gray), Brassicaceae, an endemic to serpen tine soils, is its only known host plant.
