Abstract
Isobaric analog states populated in the (p,d) reaction on Ni-58 are studied using 65 MeV high resolution protons. Weakly excited analogs assigned prev iously as confused spin states are found with proper spins and strengths in the background of a number of normal states. Deviation of the excitation e nergies of analogs from those calculated with the Coulomb displacement ener gy is found reasonably to be a function of the excitation energy. Possible anti-analogs of the 1f(7/2) , 2s(1/2) and 1d(3/2) hole states are observed.
