Abstract
Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) was used to identify sediment units at the t erminus of a small dune field at Aberffraw. Nine samples were taken from bo reholes; sample locations were based on the stratigraphy established by GPR . Quartz grains were dated using a single aliquot regenerative dose protoco l that allows for sensitivity changes. Sand deposition at Llyn Coron, Aberf fraw, occurred three times in the last 700 years with initial sand movement occurring around 1331 AD, when historical documents record sand being mobi lised in a strong storm.
