Abstract
A new frog species from the family Rhacophoridae, Philautus erythrophthalmu s, is described from the submontane locality of Muruk Mio in Southwestern S abah at approximately 1500m asl. The species is a member of the P. vermicul atus group, and possesses distinctive colouration and webbing.
