Abstract
This paper reviews the history, progress and future of filament winding. Fi lament winding has been in use for over 50 years. A review of the beginning of filament winding in the early 1940's, the different stages (broken down into decades) of equipment capabilities and products produced will be disc ussed. Future applications will also be reviewed.
