For discrete-time nonlinear stochastic systems with unknown nonparametric s tructure, a kernel estimation-based nonparametric adaptive controller is co nstructed based on truncated certainty equivalence principle. Global stabil ity and asymptotic optimality of the closed-loop systems are established wi thout resorting to any external excitations.
