Abstract
A new approach to the generation of acyl radical equivalents has been devel oped. Treatment of amides with triflic anhydride followed by samarium diiod ide allows for cyclization onto appropriately substituted olefins. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
