Double aortic arch in D-transposition of the great arteries - Confirmationof dominant arch by magnetic resonance imaging

We report the case of a female infant who had the rare combination of doubl e aortic arch and D-transposition of the great arteries. The double aortic arch was diagnosed at the lime of her arterial switch procedure. Magnetic r esonance imaging identified the left arch as dominant, and the right arch w as successfully ligated.
