The feeding of Amara equestris Duft. larvae on eggs in Calliptamus italicus
(L.) nests was registered for the first time in Novosibirsk oblast after t
he outburst of grasshoppers in the summer of 1999. Two or three beetle larv
ae of different age were found in one nest found. They actively moved inhab
iting new nests. The illustrations of main larva body parts and localities
of sampling larvae are given.
