Abstract
Five p - carboxylphenylazo - beta - diketone compounds were synthesized. Th en they were linked with photochromic compound to give five new multiple - functional compounds. Their structures were determined by H-1 NMR, IR, MS a nd elemental analysis. Their UV - absorption spectrum, fluorescence spectra and photochromic properties were studied. The mechanism of the interaction between their Eu(III) complex and CT DNA was studied, and the results for different complexes were compared.
